Eid-ul-Fitr,
The holiday – the three-day festival “Eid”- marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting . At the first day Muslims are not permitted to fast.
This religious Eid (Muslims Feast) starts in the first day in the month of Shawwal. As the Islamic calendar follows the lunar cycle, Eid begins with the sighting of the new moon at the end of Ramadan. Each year. The date for the start of any Lunar Hijri month varies based on when the new moon is sighted by local religious authorities, so the exact day of celebration varies by locality.
Eid is commemorated by many different cultural rituals, colors, and festivities in countries across the globe. Each region has specific customs, foods, and traditions associated with this celebration.
Muslims pay the Zakat al-Fitr before offering the Eid prayers.
