Egyptian citrus season will start Nov. 2017
Good Egyptian citrus season is expected this year
Egypt is a major producer of oranges. Thanks to the excellent growing conditions, such as a good climate, and almost year-round sunshine, combined with the availability of water for irrigation (the Nile), the yield per hectare is substantial. The country similarly benefits from other advantages, such as low wages, an earlier harvest than its competing countries (Morocco and Spain) and the proximity of major importing countries.
Fruit Link would like to officially announce that the new Egyptian citrus season will be launched on 15th of November 2017 according to Egyptian Government decision in cooperation with Egyptian Quarantine who determined that date based on the growing situation of Citrus, to make sure all citrus products have the required quality for export.
