We are glad to announce that I fresh<\/u><\/em> 2016 Exhibition in china<\/u><\/em> has ended with effective participation for fruit link<\/u><\/em><\/strong> as a leading company in exporting<\/u><\/em> fruits and vegetables all over the world and it was a great chance to meet a new customers in china<\/u><\/em> and show them our products and they took a brilliant idea about our products which will help us to increase our business and open new markets in china<\/u><\/em> which considered one of big markets in fruits and vegetables all over the world<\/p>\n

It’s not the beginning of our business there but we started to export<\/u><\/em> citrus<\/u><\/em> to China<\/u><\/em> three years ago, as at that time citrus<\/u><\/em> was the only fruit<\/u><\/em> from Egypt<\/u> allowed into China<\/u><\/em>. In 2013, we shipped 25 containers, while this year our shipments<\/u> are estimated at 90 containers, more than a threefold increase.<\/p>\n

And it was Mostly oranges<\/u><\/em>. We export<\/u><\/em> Navel and Valencia varieties, with Valencia comprising the majority of our export<\/u><\/em>s<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Two years ago, we also started exporting<\/u><\/em> grapefruit<\/u><\/em> to China<\/u><\/em>. However, these export<\/u><\/em> volumes are not comparable with those of oranges<\/u><\/em>. Egyptian<\/u><\/em> grapefruit<\/u> export <\/u><\/em>season begins in November, the same month when the imported cherry season kicks off in China<\/u><\/em>. Unfortunately for us, most importers are more focused on importing cherries from South America and Oceania than grapefruit from Egypt<\/u><\/em> at that time of the year.<\/p>\n

Of course we give importance to grapefruit which is already exists in china<\/u><\/em> markets and it is even steadily increasing. We have studied Chinese consumer preferences in taste, color, and package design in order to become more successful in China<\/u><\/em>. Nowadays, we only export<\/u><\/em> red grapefruit, as red is a preferred color among Chinese consumers. Moreover, we sell our fruit \u2018open-top,\u2019 as we observed that presenting the fruit in this manner is more attractive to the customer.<\/p>\n

And Inmainland China<\/u><\/em>, demand is rather low. However, our lemons are in high demand in Hong Kong as well as in countries across Southeast Asia, which is where our export<\/u><\/em> volume is quite large. Although lemons are not well marketed in China<\/u><\/em>, we are still planning for some export<\/u><\/em> in the coming season\u00a0[December 2016 – March 2017]<\/em><\/p>\n

And as we also planning to export<\/u> grapes to <\/em>china<\/u> markets as the season in <\/em>Egypt<\/u> starts\u00a0<\/em>[May-September 2017], we plan to ship our first batches of grapes to <\/em>China<\/u><\/p>\n

Our business in fruit link<\/u><\/strong> has <\/em>tripled since 2013 and this is because the quality of our fruit is good and the price is affordable. Egyptian<\/u> citrus<\/u> can cost the same or sometimes even less than <\/em>China<\/u>\u2019s domestic citrus and of course, they are much cheaper than those imported<\/u> from South Africa, Australia, or South America<\/em><\/p>\n

Of course it’s not easy to do successes and we faced a lot of challenges in <\/em>china<\/u> market<\/em><\/p>\n

And it was about competition with other Egyptian<\/u> exporters<\/u> and product quality<\/u> requirements. Egyptian<\/u> companies<\/u> exporting<\/u> citrus<\/u> to <\/em>China<\/u> have mushroomed in recent years, which have caused competition in this area to become fiercer. Moreover, product quality standards in <\/em>China<\/u> among consumers are very high. We strive to ensure that all our shipments are of the finest quality, as Chinese consumers have demonstrated a profound knowledge of and have a discerning eye for high quality fruit<\/u>. The market \u2014 not only in <\/em>China<\/u>, but all around the world \u2014 has a general rule: if product quality is poor, the brand will be quickly pushed out of the market<\/u>.<\/em><\/p>\n

We already have envision about our future in china market as we plan to continue increasing our exports<\/u>. Presently, we are working on new <\/em>export<\/u> destinations in <\/em>China<\/u>, such as Guangzhou<\/u>, Beijing<\/u>, and other cities so that we can cover a larger area. In fact, I would say that there are no limits to our goals for the future.<\/em><\/p>\n
