The beginning of mango season in Egypt

the Season of the most popular fruit in the summer has begun and we are so excitied  We are pleased to announce the start of the 2025 mango season at Fruit Link nd preparations are currently underway for the first Mango shipment, as the season starts from the end of May to the beginning of June with only three Mango varieties Sukkari Mango, and Baladi Mango.

Mango Production is gradually increasing with other varieties such as Awisi Mango, Hindi Mango, Alphonse Mango , Sadika Mango, Keitt Mango, and Naomi Mango.

Egyptian Mangoes are produced from Ismailia farms, one of the most famous mango-growing regions in Egypt. This region is famous for cultivating Mango varieties such as Awisi and Sukkari, due to its moderate, warm climate, fertile soil, and good drainage.

 Mango season in Egypt came with a variety of types

The Mango season begins with only three early Mango varieties, Sukkari and Baladi, from late May to early June. These are known for their early ripening.

Then, better-ripening varieties appear, such as Awisi, Hindi, and Alphonse Mango and Tommy mango, which contain a high percentage of sugar.

With the arrival of July and August, the season reaches its peak Mango production times, with export Mango varieties such as Sadiqah, Kit, Naomi, Taymour, and Haidi Mango and Fagr kelan mango emerging.

The variety of Mango varieties throughout the season plays a significant role in meeting market needs.

Quality Expectations for the mango season in Egypt

We’re expecting excellent Mango quality this season, with a small increase in Mango production compared to last season. The weather has been mild this year, which has helped the Mango crop grow better and reduced the number of fruits falling before they were ready.

We’ve also used modern Mango farming methods, like better fertilizing and irrigation, and we’ve worked on controlling mango pests like fruit flies, powdery mildew, and flower blight. Plus, we’re using biopesticides that are safe for export to Mango markets.

There are many markets around the world that wait for the Egyptian mango season, and favor Egyptian mangoes, and anticipate their arrival each season. In Europe, for example, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, and Belgium are eagerly awaited due to their quality and proximity to markets, which ensures fresh, quick delivery of the mangoes.

Russia is also among the countries most desired for Egyptian mangoes due to the high demand for tropical fruits, coupled with their fine taste and low prices.

In Asia as well, Malaysian and Indonesian people love Egyptian mangoes for their rich, sweet flavor.
