كشف تقرير اقتصادي يمني عن استيراد تمور من السعودية إلى اليمن مخالفة للمواصفات وتصلح كأعلاف للحيوانات، ضمن نشاط يتكرر من قبل المستوردين والتجار مع قرب شهر رمضان من كل عام.
وتشهد تجارة التمور في اليمن هذه الأيام انتعاشاً وإقبالاً كبيراً من قبل المستهلكين، في وقت ينافس فيه الباعة المتجولون المحلات المتخصصة في بيع التمور.
وكان وزير الصناعة اليمني سعد الدين بن طالب كشف في مؤتمر صحافي الأسبوع الماضي “ان 400 طن تمور فاسدة دخلت اليمن كمعونة من السعودية وتم إرجاعها”.
وطالب رئيس جمعية حماية المستهلك فضل منصور من الجهات المعنية “بضرورة أن يكون دخول تلك التمور بطريقة صحيحة وأن تكون معلبة آلياً ومختوم على أكياسها آلياً”.
وشدد منصور على ضرورة التحرك السريع والعاجل من قبل وزارة التجارة والزراعة ومصلحة الجمارك وهيئة المواصفات والمقاييس، لمنع دخول نوعيات من التمور الخام مخالفة للمواصفات.
من جهته أكد مدير عام هيئة المواصفات والمقاييس وضبط الجودة وليد عثمان رفض الهيئة دخول أكثر من ألف طن من التمور المخالفة للمواصفات للإستعمال الحيواني.
وأشار إلى أن الهيئة أصدرت التعميمات والمواصفات الخاصة بالتمور على التجار والجهات الحكومية المعنية من أجل التعاون ومنع دخول أي من هذه التمور المخالفة مع قرب شهر رمضان.
