Eid al-Adha 2025, the feast of sacrifice and solidarity

Eid al-Adha is one of the most important Islamic holidays in Islam, and it dates back to the story of our master Prophet Abraham when Allah ransomed his son with a ram instead of slaughtering him

Muslims celebrate it around the world for five consecutive days, starting with the Day of Arafat and then the four days of Eid al-Adha, where Muslims on the tenth day of Dhul Hijjah fast.  This is for Muslims who did not make the Hajj pilgrimage on the Day of Arafat, while Muslims who make the pilgrimage to Mecca and perform the rituals of the Hajj

On the first day of Eid al-Adha, Muslims slaughter sacrificial animals and distribute meat to the poor and needy, which enhances the spirit of solidarity, compassion, and mercy, and Muslims spend the Eid vacation and enjoy it.

The grape season is at peak, coinciding with Eid al-Adha 2025.

Eid al-Adha marks its peak of the grape production season.

Egyptian grapes are divided into three basic colors: white, red, and black.

The most popular white grape varieties are Early Sweet and Thompson, while red grapes include Flame, Red Globe, Crimson, and Starlight. Black Magic is the most popular black grape variety.

The export season typically begins with Early Sweet in late May, followed by Flame, Superior, and Red Globe, and concludes with Crimson in July and August.
