فيما عبرت 20 سفينة من اتجاه الجنوب بحمولة قدرها مليون و184,3 ألف طن، وكانت أكبر حمولة من نصيب سفينة البضائع الدنمركية ELEONORA MAERSK وقدرها 171,3 ألف طن، قادمة من ماليزيا ومتجهة إلى نيوزلندا.
كانت السفينة توقفت لمدة نصف ساعة دون التأثير على حركة السفن خلفها قرابة 14 سفينة واصلت رحلتها، وقالت مصادر الهيئة، إن قوات البحرية والهيئة تمكنت من السيطرة على الحريق وإخماد اشتعال النار فى حاويتين فوق السفينة، وسحبها إلى بورسعيد بواسطة قاطرات الهيئة والبحرية، فى الوقت الذى أرجعت المصادر سبب اشتعال النار إلى حريق بدائرة الكهرباء فى السفينة أدى إلى اشتعال النار فى المحركات وحدوث انفجار ودوى داخلها دون أن تتعرض للغرق.
وقال مصدر أمنى لـ”اليوم السابع” إن حريقا شب فى ماكينات إحدى السفن العابرة لقناة السويس قرب الكيلو29 بمنطقة التينة جنوب بورسعيد وشمال مدينة القنطرة شرق نتيجة عطل فنى بداخلها، وتضاربت الأنباء حول استهداف السفينة من عدمه، حيث نفت مصادر، كما تردد عن استهدافها بقذيفة أر بى جى من الجانب الشرقى للقناة، وأضافت أن السفينة لم يتم استهدافها من قبل مسلحين أو إرهابيين.
وأكدت مصادر أمنية مطلعة لليوم السابع أن المسئولين بهيئة قناة السويس، قاموا باستدعاء خبراء المفرقعات ولجنة فنية متخصصة لمعاينة السفينة الصينية التى تعرضت لانفجار بإحدى العبوات النمطية من الحاويات التى على متنها أثناء عبورها ضمن قافلة الجنوب بالكيلو29 بمنطقة التينة.
وأكد المصدر أن قائد السفينة والمرشد اللذان كانا على متنها قاما بإرسال رسالة استغاثة تحمل فى مضمونها حدوث انفجار شديد بالعبوات النمطية، وتدخلت الأجهزة المعنية لسحب السفينة إلى غاطس بورسعيد، لفحصها من قبل خبراء المفرقعات.
هذا وكثفت أجهزة الأمن وقوات تأمين المجرى الملاحى من دورياتها، وتم تمشيط المنطقة المواجهة للسفينة من ناحية القنطرة شرق ومنطقة سهل الطينة، كما حلقت مروحيتان فوق المنطقة لاستطلاع الأمر.
